Shikhar Sarin is a Professor of Marketing at Boise State University (BSU), Idaho. He previously served as an Associate Dean for the College of Business and Economics (2006-2007) and held the Kirk and Marsha Smith Chair (2007-2013). He also serves as an Associate Editor for two major research journals: Journal of Product Innovation Management, and Technological Forecasting and Social Change. Prior to joining BSU, Shikhar Sarin held the Robert and Irene Bozzone Chair in Management of Technology (1996-2002) at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, NY.
Professor Sarin’s research and teaching interests include marketing strategy, new product development/innovation, marketing of high-tech products, and digital commerce. His research has been published some of the leading outlets in the field including the Journal of Marketing, Journal of Marketing Research, Decision Sciences, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Journal of Product Innovation Management, Journal of Personal Selling and Sales Management, Industrial Marketing Management, Journal of Marketing Theory and Practice, The Engineering Economist, and the Marketing Science Institute Monographs.
Shikhar Sarin is an award winning researcher and teacher. He has taught at the undergraduate, graduate, Ph.D., and executive levels. Dr. Sarin has worked closely with several organizations in his teaching, research and consulting activities including, General Electric, IBM, 3M, Hewlett-Packard, Schlumberger, Apple Computers, Micron Technology, National Instruments, AOL, Lucent, Sprint, Ubiquitel, W.W.Grainger, United Technologies, Lockheed Martin, Russian Ministry of Atomic Energy (Minatom), Korea Advance Institute of Science and Technology, Albany International, Plug Power, Mechanical Technologies, and Allied Signals among others.
