After a divisive political election, about 100 people gathered at the Idaho Statehouse today to try to come together and find common ground.

The Interfaith Alliance held a service with a Rabbi and an LDS minister, along with Unitarian and Episcopalian members.

Judy Cross is the President of the Board of Directors for Interfaith Alliance of Idaho. She organized the event a few weeks before the election.

Today she said the state needs healing, after such a polarizing election.

This week, we're bringing you a series of stories on refugees in Boise. The public radio show "The World" sent reporter Jason Margolis to Idaho to learn more about how refugees are making a go of it in the city. The three reports are part of PRI's "Global Nation," a program that tells real-world stories of immigrants in the United States.

The impulse to exclude is visible today in laws that criminalize and eject visibly poor people, including the homeless, from public spaces.

It's a long story, but here it goes: NPR Digital Services recently announced its transition from Limelight to Triton Digital to host its streaming service. Because both Boise State Public Radio's news and classical streams are hosted via NPR, we've undergone updates regarding our streaming player and URLs.

Next week, Boise State Public Radio listeners will be starting their mornings to a new tune -- or voice. Matt Guilhem joined the station at the start of September and is ready to take over the helm as host of Morning Edition. Guilhem joins Boise State Public Radio after hosting and reporting for KVCR, the NPR affiliate in San Bernardino, California.

We sat down with Matt -- who wakes up for his new job at 4 a.m. -- and asked him a few questions about his background, himself and his hopes for his time in Idaho.
