Utah and Missouri joined 31 other states in making marijuana legal for medicinal use. While it is still illegal in Idaho, the state has conducted programs looking at the efficacy and safety of using Cannabidiol (CBD) for treating epilepsy in children. The cannabis by-product is used to treat an array of ailments, but it's still considered marijuana in many jurisdictions. 

  • Using CBD products to treat youth epilepsy.
  • Building a co-operative energy grid.

Last year Idaho governor Butch Otter vetoed a bill that would have made it legal for children with severe epilepsy to use a treatment that comes from marijuana.
