Scientists work on new ways to map the ocean floor — Earth's final frontier

Researchers have found new methods to make detailed maps of the sea floor. The maps will make it possible to spot and protect sensitive marine habitats, ensure safe navigation for ships and keep people on land safe during a hurricane.
