Experiment with nature, abstracts, and street photography! Ages 15+

3-week course - Thursdays, September 29 - October 13 - 6:00-7:00pm

This course takes advantage of our lovely Fall colors and will show you how to capture great photos with just your mobile phone by teaching you the basics of composition, selecting subject matter, macro photography, and more. Each week, we'll meet at a new location to try different techniques. Professional artist and educator, Lisa Hlavinka, will be your guide.

Class 1: Meet at the Catalyst classroom for instruction and still life/macro photography lesson
Class 2: Meet at Freak Ally (1st Thursday!) for street photography and abstract images
Class 3: Meet at Katherine Albertson Park for landscape photography

Open to beginners and more advanced photographers who would like a fresh perspective or refresher. Ages 15+ welcome.

Bring the following with you:
- iPhone or Android phone loaded with Snapseed and/or Pixlr (free apps from app store)
- Layered clothing, as temperatures may vary in classroom/outdoors
- Shoes appropriate for walking on various terrain
- Water bottle (optional)

This class may be rescheduled if a minimum of 3 participants is not reached. We will contact you via email in this case.
