Pete Yorn: Warm, Breezy Pop

Pete Yorn.
Pete Yorn.

Pete Yorn's on-stage experience began when he performed in his high school's talent show, but he's come a long way since then, graduating to L.A. cafes and clubs and then a major-label record deal. His debut, musicforthemorningafter, sold well, earned widespread radio exposure, spawned a rigorous 18-month touring schedule and won him spots on an assortment of TV and movie soundtracks. He followed it in 2003 with the nicely crafted Day I Forgot.

On this summer's Nightcrawler, Yorn crafts what may be his richest, most beautiful set of songs yet. More subdued than his earlier work, the album brings Yorn's warm, breezy pop to the foreground, while overflowing with confidence and personality.
