Jack White is performing an acoustic show tonight in Boise as part of his five-city surprise concert tour.

The Boise show was announced early this morning, and $3 tickets go on sale at noon. White will perform at the Egyptian Theatre. The Egyptian has fewer than 800 concert seats.

White became famous as half of the duo the White Stripes.

White's first surprise show was Monday in Anchorage, Alaska.

"Acoustic Jack White seemed far more connected to the audience than his electric counterpart, embracing a new role as old-country troubadour. This White told stories between songs: At one point he detailed the guitar playing he did during his days upholstering furniture and described an old riff that just wouldn't let him go. That line became "Offend in Every Way," which the band played as the first White Stripes song of the night." - Rolling Stone

Jack White fans caught wind of the news quickly, and are sharing updates on Twitter. Here's what folks are saying...
