Following a long list of candidate forums, countless stump speeches and tens of thousands of dollars in campaign funding, we're now just one day away from Election Day 2019. The highest-profil race in Idaho is contest to determine who will be the mayor of Boise. While incumbent Mayor Dave Bieter is seeking a history-setting fifth term, he has plenty of competition: six opponents.
Morning Edition host George Prentice visits with Ada County Clerk Phil McGrane to talk about last-minute preparations for Tuesday's big vote, some impressive ealry voting numbers and the real possibility that Ada County election workers may have to reopen the polls for a runoff vote in 30 days.
"We have already notified all of our polling locations and polling workers of the potential of a runoff."
