The Boise Airport announced an agreement with Uber and Lyft on Friday that designates new rideshare pick-up and drop-off locations on the airport’s upper level.
Business Development Manager for the Boise Airport Sean Briggs said the changes are a win-win for everyone—especially passengers.
“No longer will they have to play a guessing game of if their ride is on the upper level or lower level, they'll know that there is a dedicated pickup and drop off location," said Briggs.
He said the deal also designates a place for drivers to wait for ride requests.
“By moving ride sharing operations to the upper roadway, it should reduce that congestion, allow a little bit more room for friends and family when dropping off or picking up individuals," said Briggs.
The airport will charge the rideshare companies $1.50 for every ride, to offset the costs of changes, like signage and curbside shelters.
