Boise And Caldwell Will Have Runoff Elections In December. What Are You Curious About?

Nov 22, 2019

After inconclusive results in November, both Boise and Caldwell are holding runoff elections December 3.

Boise voters will decide whether to give incumbent Mayor Dave Bieter a fifth term in office, or elect his opponent and current City Council President Lauren McLean to the job. In the November 5 election, McLean took 46% of the vote while Bieter took 30%.

And in Caldwell, former state lawmaker John McGee faces off against Evangeline Beechler in a contentious runoff. He took 39% of the vote while Beechler received 31% in November.

Idaho Matters has talked with political scientists and pundits about these historic runoffs. Now, we want to hear what you think.
