NPR reporter Kirk Siegler will be a featured artist at Storyfort in 2019. Storyfort is the literary portion of Treefort Music Fest, an annual multi-genre festival that takes over venues in downtown Boise for five days. The event runs March 20-24.
Siegler is a reporter on NPR's national desk based in Culver City, CA. He focuses on the urban-rural divide in America, and has reported a number of stories from the Gem State. In 2016, he visited Orofino, Idaho and brought national listeners a story about the timber town's economic struggles and changing political landscape. You'll often hear Siegler on NPR newscasts covering breaking news; he's reported on everything from megafires in western states to earthquakes in Nepal.
He'll share stories and insights from his reporting adventures with a Storyfort crowd March 21, 2019. (Time and venue TBD.) The event will be free and open to the public.
