As Idaho's Housing Crisis Grows, Area Nonprofits Kick Into High Gear

May 11, 2020

Between widespread layoffs and uncertainty surrounding COVID-19, a record number of people are facing housing insecurity. Interfaith Sanctuary in Boise is one organization that supports those experiencing homelessness. Another local nonprofit, Jesse Tree is working to avoid homelessness in the first place, by preventing eviction across the state.

Joining Idaho Matters live today to talk about this housing crisis and all the ways it’s affecting the lives of Idahoans are Jodi Peterson of the Interfaith Sanctuary and Ali Rabe of Jesse Tree.

As COVID-19 cases spread through the U.S. and Idaho, we’re committed to keeping you updated and informed. You can get updated info on cases, closures and how to stay healthy at any time on our Coronavirus news blog.
