Next Generation TV: Boise State Program Gives Students Media Experience

Feb 25, 2020

The Narrative TV Initiative is a Boise State University program that gives students real world experience in the television production process through the creation from start to finish of a show.

They debuted their first series, called ‘And Beyond,’ two years ago. Now, their second series is nearly ready for audiences.

‘Lucky Us’ tells the story of a woman down on her luck when she finds a lottery ticket left behind by a friend. It’s a winning ticket. She has to decide whether to be honest and return the ticket or use the winnings to help her struggling family.

Two students — Andrea Carrizales and Matt Dominick — join Idaho Matters to talk about the process of creating a TV show, along with the director of the Narrative TV Initiative Ryan Cannon.

The series premier will be at the Egyptian Theatre on Monday, March 2 at 7 p.m. The screening of three half-hour episodes is free and open to the public.
