Season Two Episode 3: Redistricting, A Fractured Legislature And Sharks!

Feb 15, 2019

It’s been a very emotional week at the Idaho Legislature as lawmakers argued, debated and walked out of a hearing over the heated topic of redistricting.

Redrawing legislative districts is never easy and at issue this time was a proposal by Republicans to change the makeup of Idaho’s bipartisan Redistricting Commission from six members to seven.

Here’s just some of what we heard this week:

“People are being denied the right to participate in this process and evaluate this resolution,” Representative John Gannon.

“My colleagues aren’t here and are choosing to play political theater with such an important issue,” Representative Brent Crane.

We break down what happened and find out why redistricting is so emotional.
