Boise State Public Radio Wins 5 Regional Edward R. Murrow Awards

Boise State Public Radio News has won five regional 2018 Edward R. Murrow Awards.

The Radio Television Digital News Association, which oversees the awards, announced winners of the regional contest Wednesday.

News Director James Dawson lauded the announcement. “Each member of our team contributed to these hard earned awards. The newsroom at Boise State Public Radio continues to shine well beyond the state of Idaho.”

Boise State Public Radio's entries were judged alongside submissions from Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington.

“This is a testament to our commitment to editorial excellence, which is grounded in member support,” said Tom Michael, the station’s General Manager. “We are increasing our investment in expanding our newsroom, creating several new editorial partnerships, and launching our new public-affairs weekday show.”
