The coronavirus pandemic is disrupting every facet of our lives. With a recession on the horizon and unemployment through the roof, the survival of entire sectors of the economy are now at risk. Arts organizations and other creative businesses like restaurants and tech startups are facing challenges similar to the 2008 Great Recession.

The need to connect and be able to continue to share stories with each other during this time of social isolation is critical and vital to so many of us. So Boise's Story Story Night has worked quickly to take its stage show – with an audience of upwards of 300 people – to a webinar that will continue to feature storytellers mixed with a community slam.

The event named “Starry Story Night” will take place October 29, at JUMP in downtown Boise. Event organizers join Idaho Matters to explore the story event.

Story Story Night is celebrating their annual "Slammer of the Year" competition next week, with the theme of "runaway trains" to celebrate the 150th Anniversary of the Transcontinental Railroad. Fittingly, the event will take place in the Boise Depot. Listen to Idaho Matters to hear more about this unique event.
