Boise State Public Radio’s newest 125 watt translator at the top of Bald Mountain is now live after last year’s federal government shutdown delayed the launch of the signal.
Now, listeners in parts of Wood River Valley will have a more reliable signal at 100.3 FM. Listeners who had tuned to KBSS 91.1 FM will now notice a stronger signal in Bellevue, Hailey, Ketchum and Sun Valley. The new signal, 100.3 FM, also reaches into north Ketchum, an area previously unserved by Boise State Public Radio.
“We are thrilled to finally have 100.3 FM turned on and available to our audience in the Wood River Valley,” says general manager John Hess. “For years our audience in the area said they wanted better coverage, and more coverage, and now we can say that effort has become a reality.”
Boise State Public Radio’s 100.3 FM is our KBSX news feed. It features programs from NPR like “Morning Edition,” “All Things Considered,” “Car Talk,” and "This American Life." It also features local and regional news from the KBSX newsroom.
