Carl Scheider

I’m the permanent fill-in host of the long-running show Private Idaho (Saturdays 10-2). The late creator of the freeform program, Victor Pacania, once described it as “four hours of whatever seems to fit.”

I also host Idaho Music (Thursdays 7-8 p.m.) on Boise State Public Radio Music.

My career includes over 30 years in radio or radio-related industries, beginning with the original KBSU in 1976. I worked as an announcer and Program Director for J-105, a brief (not brief enough) stop in Top 40 and held positions as Music Director and announcer at top-rated country station KQFC, classic rock KLCI and finally at Boise’s first AAA station, KF95.
