Celebrate Lunar New Year with the Idaho Chinese Organization and the Idaho State Museum!
Young artists, ages 5 to 18, are invited to compete in this pop-up art show. Submit your work and it could be displayed as part of the Lunar New Year Community Day celebration at the Idaho State Museum on February 3, 2024!
The theme of the competition will be “Year of the Dragon.” Your artwork can be made with any drawing materials, including but not limited to watercolor, ink, oil, digital art, and color pencils. All submissions must be original, on paper, and sized at 12” x 12” for framing by the museum.
Exhibition finalists and winners will be selected by a panel of community judges. The top 30 submissions will be shown in a community exhibition in Boomtown’s Town Hall. Awards will go to one First Place winner; two Second Place finalists, and four Third Place finalists. Winners will be awarded $100, $50, and $25 gift cards, respectively provided by the Idaho Chinese Organization.
All artworks must be dropped off at the Idaho State Museum on January 19th and 20th between 10 AM and 5 PM each day.
