Ganga To Kaveri: Connecting rivers through dance

Ganga To Kaveri: Connecting rivers through dance

The program presents a celebration of the sacred rivers of India, through different Indian classical dance forms. Rivers have, for ages, been poet's muse. Poets have always been delighted and have taken great comfort in the bounties of nature. This unique production takes us on a immersing journey, connecting and portraying the mythological stories associated with these rivers. The stories of river Ganga will be performed in Kathak, Brahmaputra in Odissi and Kaveri in Bharatnatyam. The beautifully evocative dances will be performed to hymns in Sanskrit, songs in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu and Kannada, set to beautiful music and all merged into the rivers on the stage in a harmonious confluence.
