Nampa, Idaho – Music Theatre of Idaho is proud to revive the SMASH HIT from their 2019 season, ROALD DAHLS MATILDA, THE MUSICAL. Winner of over 85 international awards, including five Tony Awards, Matilda The Musical is based on the beloved novel by best-selling author Roald Dahl. Matilda is an extraordinary girl with a vivid imagination and a sharp mind whose talents are constantly belittled by her cruel parents and headmistress. Dreaming of a better life for herself, she dares to take a stand against these oppressive forces and takes her destiny into her

own hands.

This beloved family friendly tale runs Thursday March 24 through Saturday March 26 and Thursday March 31 through Saturday, April 2 at the Nampa Civic Center, 311 3rd St in Nampa. Performances are at 7:30 each evening with additional matinees at 1:30 pm. On Saturdays, March 31 and April 2. Tickets are $28-$30, plus tax and event center fee. The masterful Mac Fishman will reprise his role as the wickedly cruel, and unintentionally hysterical Agatha Trunchbull. Samuel Clemens (Mr. Wormwood), Angela Sprague (Miss Honey), Dustin Wilson (the doctor), Kimberly Erickson (Mrs. Phelps), and Saul Berman (Rudolpho) will also reprise their roles from the 2019 season. Riley Harrison, Lily Welcker and Rosalie Messina (understudy) will share the role of Matilda.

Matilda, the musical will include not only the superior talents of the MTI company, but also, the customary MTI

full orchestra, loads of magic and spectacular aerial acrobatics by Flying by Foy (Las Vegas, Nevada). You won't want to miss this amazingly entertaining production. And this time around you have 2 weekends to enjoy
