A former Wall Street executive is bringing her message of gender equity to Boise. Sallie Krawcheck is scheduled to deliver a keynote address at a conference of small business people Tuesday.
Krawcheck used to oversee the world's largest wealth management company. Today, she champions the cause of diversity in corporate leadership.
Specifically, she says companies led by diverse management teams perform better. "Companies that have greater diversity are associated with higher returns, greater innovation, even lower risk," she says. "The power of diversity is so significant, that diverse teams outperform smarter teams."
Krawcheck's career includes stints at Smith Barney, Citigroup, Merrill Lynch and Bank of America.
Publisher and former presidential Steve Forbes is also scheduled to speak to attendees at the Zions Bank's Small Business Conference.
