There's a hint of sage in the air this morning as rain falls across the Treasure Valley. These long overdue rain showers today though have created concerns for floods and mudslides.
The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for West Central Boise County and Southwestern Valley County. That warning is in effect until 12:15 this afternoon. The concern comes from a series of thunderstorms that will move across land burned by the Springs Fire this summer.
Mudslides and debris with large boulders are likely between Banks and Smiths Ferry and along the Banks to Lowman Highway. Travelers on Highway 55 should be aware of the danger.
