Icy And Snowy Conditions On Southeastern Idaho Roads

Drivers in southeastern Idaho are dealing with icy and snowy road conditions today. A fatal accident on a bridge near American Falls involved a semi and two passenger vehicles, killing one. At least four other accidents or slide-offs are reported by Idaho State Police in Pocatello.

Captain Eric Dayley says that today’s accidents are a reminder about the changing weather. He says in most cases people are driving too fast for the road conditions, especially while driving over bridges. He suggests that drivers begin leaving a little earlier in the morning to avoid speeding on icy and snowy roads.

The National Weather Service forecasts more light snow into this evening for southeastern Idaho.
