If you’re flying out of Boise this weekend, be prepared for some delays. The Gowen Thunder Air Show could hold up your flight.
Over the last few days, Treasure Valley residents have heard the sound of jet engines – what some call the roar of freedom – echoing throughout the region.
As aerial stunts are performed today and tomorrow, airline passengers should expect delays while the Air Force’s Thunderbirds and Canada’s Snowbirds dazzle audiences. The Statesman reports temporary flight restrictions are in place from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
Airlines were informed of the airshow in advance and worked with the Boise Airport on establishing take-off and landing windows during the restricted hours.
Passengers are encouraged to check the status of their flights on the airport’s website.
