Plus, all 105 legislative seats are up for grabs (although, not all of those seats are contested).One of Idaho's U.S. Senate seats is on the ballot, plus both House of Representatives seats.Gov. C.L. "Butch" Otter, a Republican, is running for a rare third term. Brandon Woolf Running For Idaho Controller

State Controller Brandon Woolf plans to run for the office he took over last October when Donna Jones resigned following a serious traffic accident.

Woolf plans to make his official announcement Tuesday at the Idaho Capitol.

Woolf, who was appointed by Gov. C.L. "Butch" Otter to replace Jones, already has at least one prospective rival in the Republican primary election next May.

Todd Hatfield, from McCall, has filed documents indicating a potential run.

In running, Woolf has won the endorsement of his former boss.

Jones said in a statement "there was no one in Idaho better suited to be state controller" than Woolf.

Woolf started his career in state government in the controller's office as an intern in 1997.

Among its duties, the office processes payroll for 24,000 state employees.
