Gov. C.L. "Butch" Otter has announced that Department of Administration Director Teresa Luna will resign following the end of the legislative session.

In a statement released Tuesday, Otter said an interim director will be appointed.

The governor did not state the reason for Luna's resignation.

Otter appointed Luna to the position in 2011. Luna has been at the center of the failed statewide schools broadband network program, which was overseen by her department. Earlier this year, a district judge deemed the $60 million contract illegal. Luna had extended the contract to 2019 last year without telling the Idaho Legislature.
