Trump fires Kristi Noem

President Trump on Thursday announced he was firing Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem. In a social media post, he said he wanted Republican Sen. Markwayne Mullin of Oklahoma to replace her. Noem has been under fire this week for a $220 million dollar ad campaign on border security.

Host Robin Young is joined by NPR’s immigration correspondent Jasmine Garsd for the latest.
