How AI wreaks havoc on the legal system

Artificial intelligence tools are already the norm in American legal work, and cases of hallucinated fake citations are routine. By one count, almost 800 lawyers have been called out for references to fake case law. But AI is also amazing at research that’s hard for human lawyers.
