The band Idyltime submitted a video of their song, "Gone From The Sorrow."

The votes are in.

No, we aren't talking about the latest primary and caucus results for #Election2016. We're talking about the second annual NPR Music Tiny Desk Concert Contest (dare you to say that five times fast).

Sadly, it wasn't an Idaho band who took home the big prize. That went to Gaelynn Lea, a Minnesota woman with a hauntingly beautiful voice. Check out her winning Tiny Desk entry here, and her real Tiny Desk performance here.

Despite not "winning" in the traditional sense, the team at Boise State Public Radio was quite impressed with the 18 Idaho entries this year. They sang and played their hearts out for the NPR Music crew, and deserve kudos. It's a testament to the talent we have here in the Gem State – so keep doing what you're doing!

Without further ado, here's a selection of BSPR's favorites:

Random Canyon Growlers

Casey Kristofferson

The Foxxtones

Idyltime

Sheep Bridge Jumpers

Emma Lucido
