Boise’s Treefort Music Fest announced 155 more musical acts to play the event March 20-24. From thrashing guitars to rising hip hop stars, festival organizers hope the lineup has something for everyone.
Treefort Music Fest bills itself as a festival of discovery, and encourages people to try out bands and music genres they wouldn’t normally. Although indie rock has been the event’s bread and butter, this year’s lineup includes rapper Vince Staples. The Compton-born musician will perform on the first night of the festival.
This show is anticipated to be packed, but you can buy a $30 ticket to guarantee a spot to that specific show.
Also on the new announcement is singer-songwriter Gaelynn Lea, who won NPR Music’s Tiny Desk Contest in 2016.
Since then, the Minnesota artist has been touring across the country and the world. She’s also a disability rights advocate – Lea has Osteogenesis Imperfecta, also known as Brittle Bones Disease.
Treefort has one more list of artists up its sleeve before the March festival. A five-day pass costs $200.
