Come hear the State of Affairs for Food Security in Idaho from our national leaders; Stacy Dean, Deputy Under Secretary for Food, Nutrition, and Consumer Services USDA, Kelly Horton, Chief Program Officer for the Food Research and Action Center (FRAC). Along with regional state and local leaders on the state of hunger in Idaho.

WHAT: The Idaho Summit on Hunger and Food Security, to be held on Thursday, October 12, 2023, will provide anti-hunger advocates, government officials, business leaders, and representatives from non-profit agencies, schools, and faith communities with information on the state of hunger and food security in Idaho and will equip participants with the knowledge and tools for moving from hunger relief to sustainable food security.

WHEN: Thursday, Oct. 12, 2023 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Riverside Hotel, Boise, ID

Keynote Speakers:

Stacy Dean, Deputy Under Secretary, USDA, Food, Nutrition and Consumer Services, Washington D.C.

Kelly Horton, Chief Program Officer for the Food Research and Action Center (FRAC).

WHY: Over 200 Idahoans from 33 cities, 22 counties, two tribes and 5 guest states will travel to Boise and gather to hear keynotes Stacy Dean, USDA and Kelly Horton, FRAC along other national, regional and local leaders share about the food security of our state and our nation.
