Ballet Idaho's Peter & the Wolf

Ballet Idaho's Peter & the Wolf

Peter & the Wolf
April 3-4, 2026
Capital High School (Boise, ID)

Join us for Peter & the Wolf, a whimsical, kid-friendly ballet adventure that brings Prokofiev’s classic story to life through dance, music, and bold design.

Created with young attention spans in mind, the full experience runs under an hour and begins with a short, playful opener that invites kids to settle in before the show begins. Most importantly, you’ll be surrounded by other families, so a little squirming or out-loud reaction is exactly what brings the theater’s atmosphere to life.

Peter & the Wolf is set in a faraway world brought to life through dazzling costumes and futuristic set design, giving parents plenty to marvel at while offering ‘littles’ a story that’s clear, playful and easy to follow, all performed with the professional artistry you expect from Ballet Idaho. With a narrator guiding the action and highlighting how each character is paired with an instrument in the orchestra, it’s a delightful introduction to classical dance and music, and a wonderful first performance for a young theatre-goer.

The story unfolds for two days only:
Friday, April 3, 2026 - 7:00 pm
Saturday, April 4, 2026 - 2:00 pm

Reserve your seats today for a family-friendly performance that’s an easy “yes” for all ages.

Tickets start at $26 at balletidaho.org
