Boise Goathead Fest

Boise Goathead Fest
Grease your chain, put on your favorite funky costume, and join thousands of bicycle enthusiasts to take over the streets of downtown Boise on August 19th during the Boise Goathead Fest! The Boise Goathead Fest (BGF) is a celebration of Boise’s bicycle culture & goathead removal leading up to the festival around the city.
Festival-goers dress up in their favorite costumes, bring their person-powered ride (bicycles, rollerblades, scooters, etc.), and meet at Cecil D. Andrus Park at 10:30am for the pre-launch party. Thousands or riders will take off at 11am and roll through the streets of downtown Boise for the costumed bike parade. People of all ages & abilities are invited to join! After the parade, the festival grounds are filled with all things local: live music, artwork, funky bikes, contests, food trucks, and craft beer. This year live performances by local artists Joshy Soul, Lobo Lara, DJ Izze Azalea Rumppshaker, DJ Wendy Fox, and DJ RahKeem will take place throughout the event. On the Main Stage Lobo Lara will be performing from 12-12:45pm and Joshy Soul will perform from 3-4pm. The DJs will be performing on the Pedal-Powered Stage throughout the festival.
Boise Goathead Fest is presented by Boise Bicycle Project (BBP) and proceeds from the event support BBP’s mission of promoting the personal, social, and environmental benefits of bicycling. To attend, BBP is asking the community to register for the event for $6. Visit boisegoatheadfest.com to register for the event, volunteer, or learn more.
