Dubbed “the last leading man” by The New York Times, two-time Tony Award winner Brian Stokes Mitchell has enjoyed a career that spans Broadway, television, film, and concert appearances with the country’s finest conductors and orchestras.
He received Tony, Drama Desk, and Outer Critics Circle awards for his star turn in Kiss Me, Kate. He also gave Tony-nominated performances in Man of La Mancha, August Wilson’s King Hedley II, and Ragtime. Other notable Broadway shows include Kiss of the Spider Woman, Jelly’s Last Jam, Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown and Shuffle Along. In 2016 he was awarded his second Tony Award, the prestigious Isabelle Stevenson Tony for his Charitable work with The Actors Fund. That same year Stokes was inducted into the Theatre Hall of Fame. As a voice-over artist he has played dozens of characters on animated TV episodes, including performing “Through Heaven’s Eyes” in Dreamwork’s The Prince of Egypt.

Casey is an Elvis impersonator with everything going for him, including a flashy sequin jumpsuit. But just like that he loses his gig, rent is overdue and his wife announces a baby on the way. So when Elvis leaves the building and a drag show moves in, “The King” transforms into an all-out queen with the help of some new friends who become the second family Casey never saw coming. With snappy zingers and dance-worthy numbers, this wildly entertaining story will challenge your assumptions with extraordinary humor and depth.

The jams are fresh this summer in the JUMP Park! The Jump, Jam and Jive free summer concert series returns to the JUMP Park every other Tuesday starting June 4th through August 27th. This all-ages, family friendly event starts at 6:00pm. Opening acts feature performances from local nonprofits bringing music opportunities to the Treasure Valley community.
There will be a food truck onsite during the JUMP Jam & Jive concerts this summer. Tacos San Mateo will offer an exciting selection of food items available for purchase. Beer and wine will be available for purchase for those 21 and older.

Bring your instruments and your ears to the Mad Swede Brew Hall! Hear local musicians play in a relaxed environment and join in with some tunes of your own. Mad Swede runs the most welcoming open mic in Boise, and it’s all ages. Hosted by the unofficial Mayor of Boise: Jenny Anne Smith.
We provide the PA system keyboard and upright grand piano. Guitarists are kind and will often lend their instruments but it's always a good idea to bring your own.

Join us at Cinder for our Summer Concert Series! We’re thrilled to showcase the talents of artist Steve Fulton Music. Over the course of decades, he progressed through many different eras of music and landed on the folk and rock style. Based in Boise, Steve has written and released around 200 pieces of music. With all of this rich experience under his belt, we are overjoyed to welcome him to the Cinder Stage.
