College of Idaho’s Building Active Citizenship and Community Leadership Poster Seminar
College of Idaho’s Building Active Citizenship and Community Leadership Poster Seminar
In the College of Idaho's ongoing effort to engage our students in the community, we have created a new winter-term course for first-year students. The course, Community Leadership, has been designed as an interdisciplinary course that develops skills in citizenship engagement, leadership, community building, and action. The goal is for students to develop local connections in Caldwell by engaging with community leaders and touring local organizations. On the last day of the course, we are hosting a Community Action Symposium to wrap up the class, during which students will present ideas for small actions that will support the Caldwell community. As a member of the great Treasure Calley community, you can attend to chat with students presenting their projects and challenge them to kick-start their project idea.
