Eyeglass & Hearing-Aid Drive

Eyeglass & Hearing-Aid Drive

[Boise, IDAHO] – November is eye donation month and an eyeglass drive will be held at the Boise State Student Union Thursday, November 14th from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.. The event will benefit Envision Sight, a local non-profit agency providing vision services to the community.

This event is available for faculty and staff, but is also open to the public. Any used eyeglasses, sunglasses and hearing aids can be donated. Faculty, staff and students are encouraged to share this information with friends, tell your neighbors to come by the Student Union for a dandy donation day.
Since 1933, Lions Club International has dedicated its mission to serving the visually impaired. Through the Treasure Valley’s Envision Eye Clinic, Idaho Lions Club councils do their part to serve their communities and others get the care and equipment needed to improve sight.

Envision has a nonstop dedication to helping grow a strong sense of community, caring for those in need, and doing so for as long as they have been around.

Always on the forefront of new technology, Envision heads up the only eye bank in Idaho, one of only 70 in the entire US, to serve the sightless worldwide. They turn focus to the local community, often free of charge, offering health care assistance to help Idahoans of all ages reach their full potential. An Idaho legacy for over a half a century and counting, Envision changes the way people around the world see future possibilities.
