IFS is a 21+ venue.

Experience the cult classic like never before! On Thursday, August 21, The Boise Bard Players and Idaho Film Society invite you to a special screening of Romeo + Juliet (1996), Baz Luhrmann’s genre-defying adaptation of Shakespeare’s iconic tragedy.

Yes, that one — with Leonardo DiCaprio, angel wings, guns named “Sword”, and a dazzling performance of Mercutio.
This one-night-only event includes a pre-show happy hour and community discussion, so come early and raise a glass to Shakespeare’s ability to transcend time. Doors open at 7:00 PM, discussion begins at 7:30 PM, and the screening starts promptly at 8:00 PM. This event is open to anyone age 21 and up.

Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at www.boisebardplayers.org. All proceeds benefit The Boise Bard Players’ upcoming production of Love’s Labour’s Lost, opening September 4 and touring across the Treasure Valley.

This event is proudly sponsored by Josh Johnston, a longtime supporter of local theatre and the arts.
