The emerging energy transition: Risks and opportunities for western public lands
The Andrus Center for Public Policy is hosting an Environmental conference April 16th, 2024 at Boise State University. The conference aims to explore how best to facilitate a just energy transition on public lands with a particular emphasis on Idaho and the broader region of the West. As the electricity sector undergoes rapid transformations in response to cost reductions and climate change, we must reexamine infrastructure and policies. Speakers will address the challenges and opportunities posed by the interconnected grid and abundant wind and solar resources with a focus on facilitating a just energy transition on public lands.
