On #GivingTuesday 2020 Boise State Public Radio celebrated the day by giving back to the community. We asked you to nominate your favorite local nonprofit and we would randomly select two to receive a $1,000 on-air messaging grant.

We received 334 nominations for a total of 132 different organizations (see the full list below). The grantees for 2020 are Life's Kitchen and Idaho Organization of Resource Councils!

Life's Kitchen is a nonprofit social enterprise providing Opportunity Youth (formally at-risk youth) 16-20 years of age with wrap around work and life skills. Through their Workforce Development, Food Service, Life Skills and GED Training Program, trainees receive the valuable skills and resources they need to become independent, financially stable and successful.

The Idaho Organization of Resource Councils empowers people to improve the well-being of their communities, sustain family farms and ranches, transform local food systems, promote clean energy and advocate for responsible stewardship of Idaho's natural resources.

Thank you to everyone who took part in making #GivingTuesday a success!
