Tuesday is your last chance to sign up for 2021 coverage through Idaho’s health insurance exchange if you don’t already have a plan through your employer.
People can choose among plans from seven different insurance carriers through Your Health Idaho, either by phone at 1-855-944-3246 or through their website.
Based on your income and household size, you could be eligible for a federal tax credit through the Affordable Care Act.
After Dec. 15, only those who lose a job or have other significant life changes will be able to get an insurance plan through Your Health Idaho.
Idaho is one of 12 states and Washington D.C. that runs their own exchange, and was the only one to not offer a special enrollment period during the coronavirus pandemic.
Instead, the state told people they could buy short-term plans that don’t meet federal coverage standards.
The deadline to get health coverage for 2021 is 11:59 p.m. Mountain Time Tuesday night.
