The Pipettes, an ultracool British pop trio, puts a postmodern spin on songs that throw back to the sound of Phil Spector.

The band's CD We Are the Pipettes is defiantly catchy, a new kind of bubblegum for listeners' ears. "We are the Pipettes," its members sing, "and we have no regrets."

When they visited the Bryant Park studios, with their angelic harmonies and choreographed hand movements, they showed exactly why.
