Tim O'Brien and Old Man Luedecke

Tim O'Brien and Old Man Luedecke appear together on Mountain Stage, recorded live in Beckley, W.Va. No stranger to the show's listeners, O'Brien has appeared on Mountain Stage more than any other artist, and served as its one and only guest host in 2014. This time, O'Brien makes his visit alongside his friend and collaborator Chris Luedecke, an award-winning singer-songwriter based in Chester, Nova Scotia.

Performing under the name Old Man Luedecke, the singer has toured the world and won multiple Juno Awards for his mix of folk, bluegrass and cunning lyrical flair. O'Brien's recent accomplishments include a release with Darrell Scott, a Grammy-winning recording with Jerry Douglas' Earls Of Leicester, and a tour with the rekindled Hot Rize. His latest release, Pompadour, continues his creative approach to acoustic music. Luedecke's fifth release, Tender Is The Night, was produced by none other than Tim O'Brien. Here, the easygoing pair swaps songs and stories, with Luedecke reciting O'Brien's signature phrase, "Let us know if the show gets too slick for you."
