Heather Carlson
I have been a proud Bronco since the day I was born. Daughter to two Boise State alumni, I and my two sisters spent much of our free time on the Boise State campus. Thus, after graduating from Bishop Kelly High School, I followed in my parents' footsteps to BSU. My passion for all things blue and orange grew as a Club Softball athlete and a deep immersion in student involvement. Upon graduating summa cum laude with a B.F.A. in graphic design and marketing and with a President's Award in hand, I worked at several local advertising agencies before returning to BSU.
I have been a proud employee at Boise State for eighteen years. My proudest moments as a Bronco include the Beat Coach Pete 5K, planning assistance for three Fiesta Bowls, helping plan Barack Obama's campus visit in 2015, record-breaking Bronco Giving Days, presenting for national audiences, and launching the recent Unbridled campaign.
I have a deep passion for the city of Boise and have served on several local community boards, including the Boise State Alumni Association, the Jaialdi Planning Board, the Basque Museum Board, and the Susan. G. Komen Race for the Cure planning committee.
In my free time, I can be found at a Boise State athletics event, coordinating the St. Joseph's Catholic School Fun Run, coaching my youngest daughter’s YBall basketball team, giving standing ovations to my oldest daughter—and budding actress, in the theater, traveling to Disneyland or my husband's curling tournaments, and chauffeuring my kids to lots of school and extracurricular activities. If not, I’ve either gone for a run or at the gym!
