BOISE, ID – Two Republican Presidential hopefuls visit Idaho this week. Rick Santorum held a rally in Coeur D’Alene earlier today and campaigns tonight in Boise. On Friday, Mitt Romney comes to Boise for a fundraiser and public rally. U.S. Senator Jim Risch co-chairs the Romney campaign in Idaho. He says, “I believe Mitt Romney has a substantially better chance at beating Barack Obama than Rick Santorum does.”
Idaho has 32 delegates at stake when the Republican Party holds its caucus on Super Tuesday, March 6th. Before this year, the Idaho GOP held a primary in May. Governor Butch Otter also co-chairs the Romney campaign in Idaho. He says, “One of the reasons that was moved up is so that we would get to the dance in time to dance before the music quit.” Otter joined Senator Risch in a conference call today to support Romney as the Republican Presidential candidate.
