Idaho Attorney General Lawrence Wasden says he plans to run for his office again in 2014.
Wasden first took the office in 2003, running the office that represents the state in criminal appeals, deals with consumer protection litigation, and advises agencies on contracts and other matters.
He told the Idaho State Journal last week that every day is a new challenge and that keeps the job fresh. He currently leads 118 attorneys and about 185 additional employees in the office. Wasden's office recently ended years of litigation against drug companies accused of falsely inflating wholesale medicine prices to increase the amount they were paid by Medicaid for the drugs. The settlements in those cases resulted in Idaho recovering about $28 million for the Medicaid program.
