On Tuesday, President Obama will deliver his fifth State of the Union Address from the Capitol. But today, we will be taking a look at three State of the State Addresses made by governors this month, for a snapshot of what’s going on around the nation:
- Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon (see address transcript)
- California Gov. Jerry Brown (see address transcript)
- Idaho Gov. C.L. “Butch” Otter (see address transcript)
The overarching themes of all of the speeches are education, pensions and budget sustainability, and Medicaid and the Affordable Care Act.
