Tax Cut Bills Work Their Way Through The Idaho Legislature

More than 400 bills are working their way through the Idaho Legislature in what has been a very busy week for lawmakers.

A flurry of bills have been introduced that would either cut taxes in Idaho, conform the state’s tax code to the new federal tax changes, or both. The question now is which bill, or bills, will come out on top.

Boise State Political Science Professor Gary Moncrief tells Samantha Wright how to tell when things are picking up in the Statehouse.

Gary and Samantha have a podcast called “Legislative Breakdown.” We pick apart the Idaho Legislature each week to find out how it affects YOU -- and this week our special guest helps teach lawmakers to be better leaders. Find “Legislative Breakdown” every Friday in iTunes, in the NPR One app and here.
