Here's What The Idaho Primary Election Results Mean

Boise State Public Radio

Idaho's most consequential primary in years came to a close early Wednesday morning with establishment Republicans and a grassroots Democrat taking their respective top spots.

Lieutenant Governor Brad Little won Tuesday in the GOP primary to replace Governor Butch Otter.

The 64-year-old rancher is an Idaho native and has been in elected office for 16 years. He'll face former state Rep. Paulette Jordan, who secured the Democratic Party nomination, in November.

Justin Vaughn is the Director of the Center for Idaho History and Politics at Boise State University. He sat down with Samantha Wright to talk about the results of Idaho’s primary races.
