  • Elle covers education for KCUR. The best part of her job is talking to students. Before coming to KCUR in 2014, Elle covered Indiana education policy for NPR’s StateImpact project. Her work covering Indiana’s exit from the Common Core was nationally recognized with an Edward R. Murrow award. He is also a corps member of Report For America, a public service program that partners with local newsrooms to bring reporters to undercovered areas across the country. From his post in St. George, David focuses on issues affecting Washington County and Utah’s southwest region, with an eye toward growth, public lands, energy, water, the environment, spirituality and political coverage at the state and federal level. Before coming to Utah, David worked with CBS News, WNYC’s Radiolab, NPR’s Morning Edition and The Kitchen Sisters. When he’s not working on a story, you'll most likely find David running, camping or playing the saxophone.
